Buzz Beat Boston, Navratilova

The New York Buzz improved to 3-5 on the season following a rousing 21-17 win over Martina Navratilova and her Boston Lobsters Tuesday night at the SEFCU Arena.
The Buzz were led by 16-year-old junior star Sloane Stephens who piled up wins in mixed doubles, women’s doubles and in women’s singles.
Alex Domijan held firm with former ATP Top 20 standout Jan-Michael Gambill, clinching the Buzz win with an overtime game win.
The night was highlighted by the appearance of tennis great Navratilova. A winner of 59 total Grand Slam titles, Navratilova played in the first two sets of the evening in mixed and women’s doubles.
The Buzz take a day off on Wednesday before returning to the SEFCU Arena to battle ATP stars Mike Russell and Dusan Vemic of the Kansas City Explorers.
