Venus Williams in Albany Tonight

Tennis great Venus Williams returns to the Capital District Thursday night at the SEFCU Arena on the University of Albany campus.

Venus and her Philadelphia Freedoms will challenge the NY Buzz in a crucial Eastern Conference World TeamTennis match-up.

The third-ranked Williams owns seven Grand Slam titles including five Wimbledons and two US Opens. She was a recent Wimbledon finalist over the week.

Williams will be joined by former doubles World No. 1 Lisa Raymond as part of a powerful Freedom line-up. The Buzz will be led by Alex Domijan and Sloane Stephens. Domijan is ranked #1 in the USTA Boys’ 18s division.
