Sloane Stephens enjoyed her best career showing at a Grand Slam by reaching the semifinals at the French Open Juniors.

Stephens had to qualify just to get into the main draw, and once she did the 16-year-old made the most of her opportunity by winning four matches before falling in the semifinals to eventual champion Kristina Mladenovic 7-5, 6-3. The loss snapped an 18-match win streak Stephens had been on since being named to the Buzz at the start of April

Also in the juniors, Sloane's Buzz teammates Christina McHale reached the 3rd round, Alex Domijan fell in the second round to No. 2 seed Bernard Tomic and Evan King was eliminated in the first round.

The Buzz will begin their 2009 home season on July 3 at Albany University's SEFCU Arena. The Buzz will also welcome Venus Williams on July 9 and Martina Navratilova on July 14. Tickets for all home matches are still available, please call 518-378-BUZZ for more information.
