Serena visits Albany as her Washington Kastles face off against the home NY Buzz in World Team Tennis action tonight at 7pm at the new CDPHP Court at the Armory.

The 26-year-old Williams has long been regarded as one the greats in tennis. Since turning pro in 1995, she has amassed 31 career WTA titles including eight wins at the Grand Slam level.

Among Serena's Major wins are three Australian Opens, two Wimbledons, two US Opens and one French Open. Having won all four Slams she became just the ninth women to achieve the career Grand Slam following Billie Jean King, Martina Navaratilova, Steffi Graf and Chris Evert among others.

Serena has also ranked No. 1 in the world for 57 weeks. At present she is No. 5 in the world in the tennis rankings.

This season Serena has collected three titles in Bangalore, Miami and Charleston and she was a finalist at Wimbledon on Saturday losing to elder sister Venus. Serena and Venus did win the doubles later in the day giving the dynamic sister pairing their seventh career Slam doubles title.
