July 9 -- The NY Buzz fell to the NY Sportimes in their home opener Sunday night 20-13. In defeat the Buzz were led by the doubles duo of Scott Lipsky and KC Corkery who posted a 5-4 win along with mixed doubles tandem of Lipsky and Julie Ditty who notched a 5-0 victory. The 2-2 Buzz get the day off on Monday before visiting the Sportimes Tuesday night in a rematch.

Men's Singles - Alex Bogomolov Jr. (Sportimes) defeated Scott Lipsky (Buzz) 5-1
Women's Doubles - Vladka Uhlirova\Ashley Harkleroad (Sportimes) defeated Julie Ditty\Viktoriya Kutuzova (Buzz) 5-2
Mixed Doubles - Scott Lipsky\Julie Ditty (Buzz) defeated David Martin\Ashley Harkleroad (Sportimes) 5-0
