July 8 - For the second time on the season, Brian Vahaly played hero again in singles pulling the Buzz out of the huge 17-13 final set hole to lead his team to a 20-19 victory over the Delaware Smash. Vahaly claimed the final men's singles over Roger Anderson 5-2 and then won the extra overtime game to force the super tiebreak. The Smash then substituted for Anderson putting in Robbie Koenig, but Vahaly proved too tough winning 7-4 to move the Buzz to 2-1 on the season. At one point, the Buzz were down 15-8 and then Evie Dominikovic got the Buzz rolling with a 5-2 win in singles before Vahaly's heroics.
