 July 25 -- The NY Buzz concluded their 2004 season with a 24-16 loss to the Capitals Sunday night in Sacramento. Tennis great Martina Navratilova teamed with Justin Bower to post the lone win of the night for the Buzz, with a 5-4 mixed doubles victory. The Capitals were paced by 15-year-old phenom Nicole Vaidisova and Dmitry Tursunov who won two matches apiece. The Capitals finish the season at 13-1, best in the league, while the Buzz fall to 5-9 and finish in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
