 July 16 -- In MVP Stadium tonight, The NY Buzz suffered their third loss of the season to the defending World Team Tennis champion Delaware Smash. Things looked good early on for the home team as the improving Justin Bower set the pace with a 5-3 singles win over the just-married Paul Goldstein. After a 5-1 loss in women's doubles, the Buzz regained the lead as Bower and Bryanne Stewart bested Liesel Huber and David Wheaton. But Delaware kept their nerve and posted singles and men's doubles wins to close out the match 20-17. The Buzz now fall to 2-6, and next visit the NY Sportimes Saturday night. The Buzz return home Monday night to again face the arch-rival Sportimes. Tickets are available by calling 518-378-BUZZ.
