 July 9 -- It began looking like another tough night for the Buzz as their arch-rival NY Sportimes claimed the first set of the night with a tough 5-4 win in the men's doubles. But the Buzz never trailed again scoring four consecutive set wins to trounce the Sportimes 24-12 and earn their first win of the season. The Buzz were again led by 15-year-old prodigy Viktoriya Kutuzova who blanked 9-time Slam champion Monica Seles 5-0, and teamed with Bryanne Steweart to easily win in women's doubles. Justin Bower closed the night with an impressive 5-1 win in singles over Hermes Gamonal. The Buzz, now 1-4, get a much needed two days off before returning to the courts Monday night when they will welcome the Springfield Lasers to town.
