In their final home match of the season, the NY Buzz pulled together to defeat their arch rival NY Sportimes 23-20. In what turned out to be an extremely close affair, the key in the win was Buzz first year player Shaun Rudman's easy 5-1 victory over Patrick McEnroe in men's singles. The win for Rudman, who was filling in for a sick Justin Bower, lifted the Buzz into the lead 13-11 heading into the final two women's matches. In the finale, Perry, though falling to Bea Bielik 5-4, held on to win in overtime 1-1. The Buzz notch their third win of the season to improve to 3-9. Next for the Buzz is a trip to Springfield Friday evening followed by a visit to Kansas City on Sunday.
